Dave DeVries

Founder & CEO

Hi, I'm Dave DeVries, the owner/founder of The Classroom and lifelong entrepreneur with a serious passion for business and pizza. You may also recognize me from Xtreme Realty in Rock Falls where I am the managing broker.

​

I've always had a love for creating things from the ground up, whether it's building strong real estate connections or crafting the perfect slice. For years, I dreamed of opening my own restaurant and bar, and now that dream is a reality- bringing people together over food I've been perfecting for years using my own homemade recipes.

Tracy DeVries

Owner/Founder  of The Classroom Bakery

Hi! I'm Tracy DeVries, the baker behind The Classroom Bakery! I've always had a love for baking- there's just something special about creating something from scratch and sharing it with others. I especially enjoy experimenting with new reicpes and coming up with delicious twists on classic favorites.

At the bakery, I make a little bit of everything: fresh breads, muffins, cookies, and more. Each item is made with care, creativity, and a whole lot of love.

​

Outside the kitchen, my greatest joy is my family- especially my 10 wonderful grandkids who keep life fun, busy, and full of laughter. They inspire me every day and are a big part of why I do what I do.

Liz Knebel

Manager of The Event Center/Marketing

Hi! I'm Liz Knebel, manager of The Event Center and head of marketing for The Classroom. I've always had a passion for event planning and decorating, and I love bringing creative visions to life- whether it's a wedding, a birthday party, or a community gathering.

​

With a background in graphic design, I handle all things visual and promotional for The Classroom, making sure every detail reflects our unique brand and personality. You'll also find me jumping in to help at The Classroom Pub or Papa's Pizza whenever I'm needed- no two days are ever the same around here!

​

Outside of work, I'm a proud mom of three and love spending time with my kids. They keep me inspired, busy, and always laughing!
